When is the best time to travel to the Maldives to truly enjoy your vacation? That's an easy question to answer. The dry season for the island groups is between November and April. Generally speaking, March is considered the best month to travel for a Maldives vacation. From May to October, however, the island chain experiences the rainy season, which also brings showers, storms, and thunderstorms. So, if you don't want to deal with the monsoon, it's better to visit the islands in winter or spring.

What's the weather like in the Maldives?

At night, temperatures drop slightly to a still warm 24°C to 26°C. The water temperature also fluctuates only slightly throughout the year. It averages a pleasant 25°C to 32°C.
