FORMER SHAREHOLDERS BUY BACK KLOSTER KITCHEN SHARES

Since its founding, the Franconian startup curameo AG, with its brand Kloster Kitchen, has sold over 42 million portions of ginger shots and has established itself as the market leader in this new beverage category. The former shareholders, consisting of founder Mario Fürst and the INTRO Group around entrepreneur Hans Rudolf Wöhrl, continue to see great potential for success for the company and are acquiring the shares of Eckes-Granini Group GmbH (49%).

Since 2016, Kloster Kitchen has been producing shots with real ginger pieces according to a traditional organic monastery recipe. With its attractive product portfolio, the company is considered a pioneer in the shot segment and has achieved strong growth not only in retail (LEH) but also particularly in e-commerce (DTC) and the convenience sector.

The INTRO Group recognized and invested in the business potential of curameo AG early on: "We see ourselves as a company that professionally and strategically supports young companies in their growth and helps them achieve sustainable profitability. Curameo AG is one of our most successful investments, and therefore, it was important to us to reacquire more shares together with founder Mario Fürst and his team," says shareholder Hans Rudolf Wöhrl. Since March 2021, Eckes Granini Group held a minority stake in curameo AG and the Kloster Kitchen brand (49%).

No structural or organizational changes are planned. Founder and CEO/Board Member Mario Fürst will continue to be strategically and operationally responsible for the company. "With Eckes Granini, we had a constructive and fair companion at our side for the past 14 months. Ultimately, however, our ideas about the future strategic direction of Kloster Kitchen were too far apart. In order to actively shape the future of the Kloster Kitchen brand together with the entire team and to break new ground, I decided, together with the INTRO Group, to acquire more shares in curameo AG again," says founder Mario Fürst.

"The entire management team of Eckes Granini wishes Mario Fürst and his team all the best and a steady hand in the further development and growth of their company and the Kloster Kitchen brand," add Tim Berger (CEO) and Sidney Coffeng (Deputy CEO and CFO) of Eckes Granini.
