In addition to our efforts to keep the oceans clean, we have also made it our mission to reforest forests!

How does it work? We work with you! Not only do we regularly seize the opportunity to donate ourselves, but we also give you the chance to do so - for a good feeling when shopping.

In the checkout process, you have the option to add a small donation to your purchase - but of course, you don't have to. That's entirely up to you. We collect all donations and then pay them out monthly to the TUI Care Foundation.

WHY TUI FOREST PERU?

Thanks to our Sustainability Advisor, Dagmar Wöhrl, we became aware of the TUI Care Foundation. The aim of the Foundation's "TUI Forest Peru" project is to cultivate and plant native trees on-site. This combats deforestation and secures the livelihoods of the local people.

So, what does this have to do with Kloster Kitchen? It's simple: the turmeric we process comes from the Andean region of Peru. That's why we want to contribute locally and support the regional community. TUI Forest Peru is simply the ideal project for us!

WHAT DOES THE TUI CARE FOUNDATION DO?

The TUI Care Foundation initiates and supports projects—such as TUI Forest Peru—that open up new future prospects for young people around the world, protect nature and the environment, and promote the sustainable development of holiday regions.

In doing so, the Foundation leverages the potential of the tourism sector as a driver for social development, education, and prosperity. It also builds on strong partnerships with regional and international organizations to effect sustainable change.

The TUI Care Foundation is an independent foundation initiated by TUI.
Is the Kloster Kitchen turmeric organic?
Absolutely! We make sure that only the best of the best goes into our products. In addition to a careful selection of suppliers for our raw materials, we constantly check product quality throughout the entire manufacturing process, right up to the finished product. And not only are the ingredients organic certified, but also all companies that produce and process the ingredients.
Are there other TUI Forest programs?
Yes, TUI Forest Peru is part of a global forest program of the TUI Care Foundation. Among other things, the Foundation is also active in Mallorca, the Dominican Republic, Gran Canaria, Rhodes, Kenya and Zanzibar.
