IT'S NOT JUST MEDIA THAT'S SOCIAL WITH US
As we have learned, sustainability does not only refer to the environment. The social aspect of sustainability should also not be overlooked. Here's what Kloster Kitchen does for it ↓
LEBENSHILFE BAMBERG + SÜDTHÜRINGEN
Even in the final stage of manufacturing our ginger shots, we want to do some good. We thought long and hard about how we could proceed sustainably here. After careful consideration, we decided to collaborate with two Lebenshilfe organizations from our region.
Some of you may be wondering: Lebenshilfe – what does that even mean? Lebenshilfe is a non-profit organization that advocates for people with disabilities to be a normal part of our society. Whether it's school assistance, work and education, or living in old age – Lebenshilfe supports wherever possible. Among other things, the organization also offers jobs for people with disabilities, and that's where Kloster Kitchen comes in.
We want to support the mission of Lebenshilfe. That's why behind every Kloster Kitchen package there is work from Lebenshilfe. If something needs to be packaged, for example, our 1SHOTs into 7-packs, it's done either by Lebenshilfe Bamberg or Lebenshilfe Südthüringen.
INSIDE KLOSTER KITCHEN
Social sustainability externally is important. But internally, too, we primarily want to support our employees in this regard. Here are some of the goals of social sustainability broken down:
- Adherence to labor and human rights
- No poverty
- Good health and well-being
- Quality education
- Gender equality
We offer fair wages and ensure that our employees feel comfortable. But not only that, we also want to continue promoting our employees' conscious lifestyles. For example, we offer a free annual Gymondo license and weekly and monthly sports classes so that the workforce can stay fit. Monthly further training and annual further training are also standard for us. This way, we ensure that no one misses important developments in their area of activity.
