CYCLOCROSS POWERED BY KLOSTER KITCHEN
Successful athletes train hard, pay attention to their diet and take care of their mental well-being. In short: They try to get the best out of themselves. We identify with this, and our mission is to help everyone get the best out of themselves.
So, what could be more suitable for our company than sponsoring a sports team? Exactly. Nothing. Since 2020, we have been a proud sponsor of the Cyclocross Team "Heizomat Radteam powered by Kloster Kitchen".
What is Cyclocross?
If you're now asking "What exactly is cyclocross?", you're not alone! While the sport is very popular outside of Germany (especially in Belgium and the Netherlands), it hasn't really caught on in Germany yet.

Cyclocross: The modern off-road race
Cyclocross (CX for short) is an off-road form of cycle racing. Teams and participants overcome obstacles on modified road bikes. In most cases, these can be overcome on the bike, but sometimes riders have to dismount and carry their bike for a bit. The routes go over meadows, gravel, forests, and occasionally even sand. Since the races mostly take place in autumn or winter, the tracks are usually a very muddy affair. If a part of the route is impassable, the bike is also carried here.
Cyclocross, incidentally, has its roots in France. The first documented race took place there in 1903, and by 1909, these types of off-road races were already being run competitively.
The Heizomat Radteam
The Heizomat Radteam powered by Kloster Kitchen is – like Kloster Kitchen – at home in Franconia. It is the only German cyclocross team, was only founded during the Corona period, and the athletes participate in U23 races: A young team through and through! The team now includes 8 talented cyclists, including four-time German cyclocross champion Tom Lindner.
