BAYBG INVESTS IN KLOSTER KITCHEN AND PROVIDES GROWTH CAPITAL
BayBG is investing one million euros in growth capital in Curameo AG from Reichenschwand, which is one of the leading providers in the new beverage segment with ginger shots under the brand name Kloster Kitchen.
Old monastery recipes form the basis for the intensely flavored ginger shots that Kloster Kitchen has been producing in organic quality since 2016. Supermarkets and organic stores are among the customers for the beverages, as are canteens and airlines. Curameo AG also sells its products via its own online shop and digital marketplaces. Since its founding, 52 million shot portions have been sold, and Curameo AG's turnover has almost doubled annually in its early years. BayBG is now investing one million euros in the Franconian company.
"The growth prospects of Curameo AG are promising; the market volume of the 'Healthy Shots' segment has been increasing for years. Ginger shots are very popular, and there is demand," explains Ruth Diringer, Investment Manager at BayBG. "In addition, the planned expansion of sales channels offers significant opportunities, especially the direct-to-consumer business of Kloster Kitchen products has great potential."
The company was founded in 2015 by Mario Fürst, with INTRO Group, led by Hans Rudolf Wöhrl, as another shareholder. Curameo generated approximately 5 million euros in revenue in 2022.
